Simulator Optimizations
A brief overview
The Liberty Simulation Environment optimizes the simulator which it generates in two ways:
- It specializes the code which it generates for the particular simulator configuration it is building.
- It analyzes communication between modules and generates mixed dynamic/static schedules for module invocation
These optimizations allow LSE models specified using reusable components to achieve simulation speeds comparable to customized models in other systems.
A paper describing these optimizations has been published in the 40th Design Automation Conference.
